Wolves and Warriors is an Animal Planet docu-series that premiered September 1, 2018. It follows Navy veteran Matt Simmons and clinical psychologist Lorin Lindner, the couple behind the Lockwood Animal Rescue Center, as their crew of combat veterans rescues wolves and wolfdogs from poachers, illegal breeders, and failing facilities.
Across the season the team evacuates a California sanctuary ahead of a wildfire and works against wolf poaching in Montana in an effort called Operation Wolfguard. It is the same sanctuary and the same program as our film, with the rescue side of the work shown in full.
