Impact Docs is a documentary studio in Stockholm founded by Robin Danehav. He spent 18 years in film, building production businesses and making films for a wide range of clients, when he filmed a restaurant owner in Lisbon in 2022. That was the moment he decided documentaries were what impact brands actually needed, so people could understand what makes them different.
The studio makes films with brands and organizations whose work is about social or environmental change. Alongside that client work, Danehav runs the 100 Documentaries Project on his Story by Danehav channel, a personal goal of making one hundred documentaries about people creating change. THAW, the glacier film in our Beyond section, came out of that project.
The company sums up its own position in four words. Change the story, change the system. Danehav has said the belief underneath it is that better stories can change the systems causing people to suffer.
